Aspirer’s goal is to provide looked-after children (ages 8 to 17) who may have experienced trauma, exploitation or abuse with a safe, nurturing and a caring environment.

Qualified Staffing

Ensure that the home has qualified and experienced staff. We look for and recruit people who have worked within social care, childcare and other similar roles as this brings a wealth of experience to the home. The home will run on adequate staff ratios and provide person centred care for each child.

Family and Community Engagement

Encourage family involvement and maintain connections with the children's families, whenever possible and appropriate. Additionally, facilitating opportunities for children to engage with the local community through volunteering, mentorship programs, and social activities can help foster a sense of belonging and social integration.

Educational and Recreational Opportunities

The care home should offer opportunities for educational advancement and recreational activities. Access to schooling, tutoring services, extracurricular activities, and cultural experiences can contribute to the holistic development of children.

Safe and Supportive Environment

The home should provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children feel secure and comfortable. Safety measures such as secure entry points, emergency procedures, and child protection policies should be in place.

Individualized Care Plans

Each child should have an individualized care plan tailored to their unique needs, background, and circumstances. This plan should address their emotional, physical, educational, and psychological needs and should be regularly reviewed and updated.

Therapeutic Support Services

Access to therapeutic support services such as counseling, therapy, and mental health interventions is crucial for children who may have experienced trauma or have behavioral or emotional challenges. The care home will work with an independent therapeutic provider who will provide direct work, clinical assessments and team training to support the home to provide.

Empowering Children Through Compassionate Care

We make a commitment to fostering resilience and confidence in vulnerable children and young people. Through personalised support, positive role modelling, and nurturing environments, we aim to instil a sense of self-worth, belonging, and hope, guiding them towards a brighter, more promising future.
